Machine Learning Scientist Wanted for Healthcare R&D Group

So another firm, looking for another Data Scientist. Nothing new here other than the fact that the purpose of this role is to explore the potential of creating next generation products for online optimisation problems by integrating offline data into the equation for both internal and external projects in the business.

The challenge is thus to be able to apply the core skills of a Data Scientists (machine learning, algorithm development in Java etc) but with an intuitive view of information that sometimes cannot be measure accurately (i.e. offline data). The skill set will thus possibly require someone who also brings advanced machine learning skills to the table applied for a variety of project-driven purposes.

The client isn’t expecting the perfect blend of the above skills but will be looking for individuals who can rise to the challenge and explore areas that your MSc/PhD background or work experience may not have covered.
